Why each person has their own stone
Their own Moon, their own Rashi
In Vedic tradition your Rashi is the sign the Moon was in when you were born. Each person was born under a different sky, so Maa's Rashi and stone can be quite different from Papa's — or yours.
Each stone has its own day
A stone is traditionally worn first on its planet's weekday — Monday for the Moon's Pearl (Moti), Thursday for Jupiter's Yellow Sapphire (Pukhraj). The circle shows whose stone day it is today.
Private by design
Names and Rashis are kept on this device and never sent to RashiRocks — no account needed. A birth date is used only to work out the Moon sign and is never saved.
About the birth-date option
From a birth date we work out the sidereal (Lahiri) Moon sign in Indian Standard Time. The Moon changes sign every two to three days, so on some dates the answer depends on the birth time — when that happens we show both Rashis and the time of the change, and you choose.
